Getting response from server about php-crud-api

Hi, in the line of the "data" parameter in the ajax call add:

+"&columns=email"

That should limit the output, then to test whether or not records were returned instead of:

if (data == "null") {

use this:

if (data.users.records.length==0) {

in the else clause, just replace

else if (data == "true") {

with:

else {

wow that is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much.
No it's not for a real-life login, I'm learning and trying to pull/push data around but also to validate/verify it using an API. I have heard that OAuth is the way to go in terms of authorization with APIs.
