.drop() might create second-stage exploits. Calls get NOP'ed, next line check return value, return value is unitialized ... chocapic ?

Thus yes, making .drop() actually bailout by default sounds a good idea :)

I prefer to keep it simple, and to not give people opportunities to shoot themselves in the foot by introducing second-order vulnerabilities.

Apparently, the implementation isn't complete, since the test tests/disabled_functions_chain.phpt should currently fail.
